All kvirs welcome to the Peter Jordan Straße 76! The actziya will be hosted by TüWi and the Frauen*referat der ÖH BoKu once again!

TüWi is a non-commercial café and sort of collective space, that hosts diverse events, usually oriented towards anti-hierarchical politics. It is frequented also by a lot of students, as it is located right next to the BoKu Wien, which is the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences here in Vienna. The “Frauen*referat der ÖH BoKu” is a feminist/women*s section of the students council at this University.

The info point and central place of the festival will be at the TüWi and in the TüWi Barracke right next to it, which is located on the corner of Peter-Jordan Straße 76 and Dänenstraße. The seminar and lecture rooms are located just across Pater-Jordan Straße in the “Oskar Simony Haus” (One of the “BoKu” University buildings in Peter-Jordan Straße 65).

Невероятно, но факт: Акция начнется уже меньше, чем через две недели! Наш квир_феминистский_коллектив уже весь в предвкушении и почти готов упаковать свои блестки и единорожные носочки и двинуть в квир-измерение вместе со всеми вами, нашими дорогими единорогами! Хотя у нас впереди еще очень много дел, и нам все еще нужно много поддержки, чтобы вызвать к жизни дух DIY/DIT.

Но обо всем по порядку:

Нам очень жаль, что мы не смогли пригласить на Акцию всех желающих!!!

Нам пришлось принимать трудные решения, кого именно приглашать, потому что ресурсов, помещений и возможностей у нас было не так много. При отборе мероприятий и участни_ц мы изо всех сил старались, как могли, учитывать разные оси привилегий, неравенств, потребностей и личных ситуаций, насколько это было возможно по той информации, которую мы получили из ваших анкет, самопредставления и самопозиционирования. Мы провели огромное количество времени в мыслях, обсуждениях и общих собраниях, чтобы принять эти решения, и поверьте, это было совсем не легко и не весело. Поэтому, пожалуйста, отнеситесь к нашим решениям с пониманием.

Ну, а теперь осталось обговорить и организовать «совсем немного» вещей…

Нам нужно знать, кто в итоге точно приедет, поэтому, пожалуйста, подтверди (если ты этого еще не сделал_а), что ты приедешь, и купил_а ли ты уже билеты. И еще, пожалуйста, сообщи, сколько денег ты хочешь, чтобы мы тебе вернули, и даты, когда ты приедешь и уедешь. Не забывай при этом, что фестиваль начинается утром 24-го и заканчивается вечером 27-го. И пожалуйста, укажи, хочешь ли ты ночевать в месте только для женщин*, лесбиянок, интер и транс* людейПоследний срок для ПОДТВЕРЖДЕНИЯ — 14 июля!!!

Пожалуйста, не пропусти его, потому что нам надо как можно быстрее организовать для всех вписки!

ДЛЯ ОРГАНИЗАТОР_ОК МЕРОПРИЯТИЙ: пожалуйста, как можно быстрее подтверди, что ты проведешь свое мероприятие в запланированные день и время, и пришли нам / подтверди описание программы для брошюры с программой! Последний срок — 14 июля!!!

Мы скоро начнем готовить брошюру с программой и будем использовать для нее ту информацию, которую вы нам присылали в анкетах.

В любом случае, если ты хочешь изменить свой анонс, проверь, что именно ты нам присылал_а два месяца назад, и хочешь ли ты, чтобы в брошюре в итоге стояло что-то другое. Кроме того, если ты хочешь, чтобы в брошюре были какие-то еще тексты, картинки и т. п., все это тоже можно нам присылать.

В этом году мы оставили в программе много свободного времени и возможностей для драга, переодевания и всяческого расквиррррования и украшения наших поверхностей и внешностей. Поэтому, если хочешь, привози с собой любые блестки, краски, наряды, косметику и т. п. штуки!!! Мы по возможности тоже постараемся много всего такого организовать (:Очень ждем вас всех в Вене, чтобы вместе расквиррровать этот город!

Dear all!

Right now we try to finish all the visa cases and the logistics and to compose to programme. The preliminary programme draft should be online by the end of the week.

Until then we just wanted to mention:

The festival programme will start on the 24th of July in the morning! So please book your tickets for the 23rd!!! Also, we will have performances and workshops and other cool stuff until the evening of the 27th. So you might want to stay until the 28th at least. In any case: you are very welcome to come eralier and to leave later than the actual festival dates!

Please contact us, if you still haven’t heard anything back from the collective. We’ve experienced some technical issues over the last weeks, therefore your application or address might got lost without bad intentions.

Фестиваль начинается утром 24 июля! Поэтому, пожалуйста, заказывайте билеты на 23-е!!!

Перформансы, воркшопы и всякие другие крутые штуки будут идти до вечера 27-го. Поэтому тебе стоит остаться хотя бы до 28-го. В любом случае, если хочешь, приезжай раньше и уезжай позже самого фестиваля, мы будем очень рады! Пожалуйста, свяжись с нами, если коллектив тебе еще ничего не ответил. В последние недели у нас были некоторые технические проблемы, так что мы могли случайно потерять твою заявку или адрес.

Dear all!

Thank you so much for so maaaany applications. By many we mean like really MANY, like a lot, like…oh, unicornish goddess over 150 applications or something…. We try to work through all of them as fast as we can but since a lot of folks need visa and this is a really long and painful process (thanks to the f***** Schengen border regime!) we still need time.

Right now we can’t answer all of your question individually. We are REALLY sorry for this. Please use the FAQs section if you have any questions and read the following!

So here come some quick notes from the overworked collective that might help to guide your way to the kvir_feminist_actziya_2014

– It seems like many of you had trouble with your unicornish gender-bender-time-machines. So here we go again: the festival will take place from the 24th to 27th of JULY (not June!!!). Please don’t book tickets for June…We mean, you are very welcome to spend some time in Vienna and to hang out with us and we will surely find a couch for you to crash, but we won’t pay your travel costs for any June trips. Sorry!

– If you got an invitation letter from us and you need a VISA for your trip to Vienna, PLEASE send us your passport copy, your address (don’t forget the damn postal code please!!!) and phone number. If you did so: cool, then you’re in the process. Relax and wait.  If you still didn’t: please hurry up! We won’t wait forever, as there are so many other things to do.

– if you need a VISA for getting to Vienna and you still did not get a response to your request/invitation letter: please send us an e-mail (put URGENT!VISA). You might imagine: with so many applications our e-mail box is a mess and might devour some of your e-mails.

– If you have applied and don’t need a visa and still didn’t get any response: please wait until next week! We will come back to you! Prrromise!

– If you got an invitation letter, a visa and stuff…please book your tickets ASAP! And also the cheapest one! The idea of the festival is also to redistribute privileges and resources, so we kindly ask all the people (of course those, who can afford it) to pay as much as possible of their costs, so we can redistribute the travel grants among as many people as possible. So this kinda depends on a responsible self-assessment of your needs/resources

– If you are coming from a “Western” country (like Germany or Austria or Australia or whatever) and you are not a migrant, then mind our invitation politix! Short version: you are very welcome to join, but we won’t put your contribution in the program, offering the space to people from the “East” as well as migrants. Sorry! We might help you with accommodation, but it depends…we will know more in July!

Огромное спасибо за столько заявок! И когда мы говорим «столько», их правда СТОЛЬКО, то есть НУ СТОЛЬКО… кажется, больше 150 заявок… Мы очень стараемся их обработать как можно быстрее, но поскольку куче народу нужны визы, а это реально долгий и мучительный процесс (спасибо ***ному шенгенскому режиму!), нам все еще нужно время.

Прямо сейчас мы не можем отвечать на все вопросы кажд_ой из вас по отдельности. Мы очень просим прощения за это. Если у вас есть вопросы, пожалуйста, читайте раздел ЧаВо и наши объявления ниже!

А теперь несколько объявлений от умученного работой коллектива, чтобы помочь вам добраться на квир_феминист_акцию_2014

– Кажется, у многих из вас случились неполадки с вашими радужными-единорожными машинами времени. Поэтому внимание, напоминаем еще раз: фестиваль пройдет с 24 по 27 ИЮЛЯ (НЕ июня!!!). Пожалуйста, не заказывайте билеты на июнь… Ну то есть если вы хотите потусить в Вене в июне, мы будем вам очень рады и обязательно найдем вам вписку, но никакие транспортные расходы на июНЬские поездки мы вам оплатить не можем. Без обид!

– Если ты от нас получил_а приглашение и тебе для поездки в Вену нужна ВИЗА, то ПОЖАЛУЙСТА вышли нам копию (скан) паспорта, почтовый адрес (и не забудь, пожалуйста, почтовый индекс тоже указать!!!) и номер телефона. Если ты это уже сделал_а — круто, значит, шестеренки уже крутятся, ты можешь расслабиться и ждать. Если ты этого еще не сделал_а — давай, пожалуйста, скорей! Мы не будем ждать бесконечно, потому что у нас еще куча других дел.

– если тебе нужна ВИЗА, чтобы приехать в Вену, но ты до сих пор не получил_а ответа на свой запрос и/или приглашения: пожалуйста, напиши нам е-мейл (поставь URGENT!VISA или СРОЧНО! ВИЗА в тему письма). Как ты, наверное, понимаешь, когда приходит столько заявок, почтовый ящик перегружается, начинает беситься и может слопать некоторые е-мейлы, так что их потом не найти.

– Если ты подал_а заявку, но тебе НЕ нужна виза, а ты все еще не получил_а ответа: пожалуйста, подожди до следующей недели! Мы тебе обязательно ответим! Честно-честно!

– Если ты получил_а приглашение, визу и все такое… тогда пожалуйста КАК МОЖНО БЫСТРЕЕ заказывай билеты! Причем самые дешевые! Одна из главных идей фестиваля — перераспределять привилегии и ресурсы, поэтому мы очень просим всех (конечно, в случае, если вы/ты можете/шь себе это позволить) взять на себя такую часть расходов, какую можешь/те, чтобы мы могли распределить деньги за проезд среди как можно большего числа людей. Короче, это в общем-то зависит от того, что ты лично ответственно подойдешь к оценке своих потребностей/ресурсов.

– Если ты из «западной» страны (типа Германии, Австрии, Австралии или какие еще там бывают) и ты не мигрант_ка, то учитывай нашу политику приглашения! Короткая версия: мы очень рады твоему участию, но мы не будем включать твои мероприятия в программу, чтобы предоставить пространство людям с «Востока» и мигрант_кам. Извини! Может быть, у нас получится помочь тебе с жильем, но это уж как пойдет… В июле мы сможем это сказать точнее!

The kvir_feminist_actziya_2014 will take place!!! This year the date is the 24th till 27th July and the location will be hopefully the same. Also we hope to have the same good weather like the last time.

Please forward our wonderful call and apply for participating and contributing to the programme. The final deadline to submit the fill out sheets is Friday 16 May, but please do this earlier if possible.

PS: so far we have organized Russian translation for the most important materials. Following our experiences of the last actziya we decided to establich English and Russian as “working languages” as most of the participants usually speak either the one ot the other. However, we would be very happy and thankful, if you want to translate the call into other languages!

kvir_feminist_actziya_2014 состоится! В этом году с 24-го по 27-ое июля и как мы надеемся на том же месте /площадке. Так же мы надеемся, что нам снова повезёт с погодой, как и в прошлом году.

PS: на данный момент мы перевели самую важную инфу на русский. Следуя нашему опыту последней акции мы решили сделать английский и русский рабочими языками/языками посредниками, так как большинство участни_ц разговаривает на одном из них. today we will have our first collective meeting after the festival, to reflect a little bit on what went well and what not so. hopefully we can generate new energies for new projects. already at the festival there were some rumours about the kvir_feminist_actziya 2014. but who knows where it will be, when and under which label. in any case we would like to generate a good documentation of everything so it might be used by other people (or ourselves too) in order to create even more of such spaces.

and because there is much more talk about the festival on facebook and in other digital fora, we would like to also state a serious note: if you post pictures from the festival on your facebook profile or anywhere else on the web, please please please ask the people that are on those very pictures if they are ok with it! otherwise you could seriously harm their well-being. remember that you can’t always know under which situation people live and which sort of repression they are subjected too.

The meeting point for the queer-feminist city tour is in front of the main building of the University of Vienna (Universität Wien, Hauptgebäude) at 4 p.m. We are going to meet in front of the big stairs at the front side of the university. The address is: Universitätsring 1, 1010 Vienna. This is a very famous and central place (first district) and can be reached realy well from all parts of the town. The metro and tram station is called “Schottentor”, it is about 50 meters from our meeting point. You can arrive there with subway U2, with trams 1, 2, D, 37, 38, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, or with busses 1A and 40A.

For those who cannot make it to come to the queer_feminist city tour, you can come directly to Rosa Lila Villa (Linke Wienzeile 102). The welcome session starts at 6 p.m.
